Caseworker Position

Salary: £26,460 per annum + Benefits
Location: Covering the East Midlands
Transport Requirement: Regular travel is required, so access to transport for daily commutes and occasional multi-site travel is essential.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Caseworker to join our CFO-Evolution Wing, where you will play a vital role in enrolling suitable participants by liaising with prison Offender Management Units (OMUs) and other key stakeholders. Your work will focus on enhancing the job readiness of participants and helping them effectively apply for work upon their release.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

– Engagement and Relationship Building: Establishing trust-based, positive relationships with participants to provide consistent support for your active caseload. Your ability to connect with individuals will be crucial to their progress.

– Signposting to Resources: Directing participants to relevant activities, partner agencies, and peer mentors that can assist them in their journey. You will act as a vital link between participants and the resources they need.

– Coaching and Mentoring: Supporting individuals in accessing activities and opportunities through effective coaching and mentoring. Your guidance will empower them to overcome barriers and pursue their goals.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will need:

– Experience with Vulnerable Populations: Proven experience in working with vulnerable or challenging individuals, especially those with complex needs. This background will enable you to understand the unique challenges faced by your participants.

– Case Management Skills: Experience in case management, including handling multiple cases simultaneously and managing expectations effectively. You should be comfortable balancing diverse needs while maintaining a high standard of support.

– Tailored Interventions: The ability to deliver short, tailored interventions that address specific barriers within a defined timeframe. Your skills in developing and implementing personalized strategies will be key to the success of your participants.
