Role Overview: Senior Manager, Audit – Cambridge
As a Senior Manager in our Cambridge Audit team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audit clients. You’ll support the Partners with client work, business development, and group management, with occasional involvement in special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Management:
- Ensure clients receive proactive and efficient service, exceeding their expectations.
- Work closely with client Partners and colleagues to keep everyone updated.
- Plan and manage audit work, set budgets, and ensure awareness of clients’ commercial needs.
- Manage client billing and ensure audits are completed on time.
- Team Management:
- Organize staff for projects, set clear expectations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure staff are well-trained and manage their workload effectively.
- Provide feedback on performance and address any staff concerns.
- Participate in both internal and external training programs.
- Business Development:
- Help prepare proposals for new business and attend marketing events.
- Identify opportunities to grow business with current clients.
- Build personal contacts and network to develop new opportunities for Evelyn Partners.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- An accounting qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA)
- Extensive external audit experience in a professional services setting
- Experience working with entrepreneurial, SME, OMB, and AIM-listed clients
- A passion for business development, including attending events and preparing proposals
- Strong understanding of accounting and auditing standards and industry-specific regulations
- Experience managing and motivating staff to ensure top performance
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients, Partners, and colleagues
- Good organizational skills to meet the needs of clients, staff, and Partners
