About the Job

As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will provide on-site support for each Assurance assignment, ensuring that clients receive a high-quality service in every aspect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role within Assurance teams, including opportunities to lead on-site work.
  • Ensure each assignment adheres to pre-assignment instructions, completing all tasks efficiently and in line with the firm’s procedures.
  • Maintain Assurance quality, contributing to internal and external quality assurance, ensuring compliance with firm and professional standards.
  • Communicate any issues in following instructions or identifying contentious matters to the assignment manager immediately, suggesting possible solutions.
  • Provide adequate briefing, supervision, and on-the-job training for junior staff members.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consistently practicing excellent client service.
  • Stay informed about the firm’s specialist services and publications, providing added value to clients.
  • Review work completed by junior staff for adequacy and completeness, and conduct job appraisal reviews.
  • Track actual time spent on assignments compared to the budget and complete the firm’s review and finalization procedures before passing files for manager review.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge through relevant reading and courses, fulfilling professional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions, and assist in student recruitment, training, and marketing activities as needed.
  • Perform any other duties that align with the job’s purpose and title, as directed by your Line Manager or Head of Department.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be ACA or ACCA qualified or hold an equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience in Assurance-related tasks within a professional services environment.
  • Proven expertise in client management and delivering high-quality Assurance services.
  • Familiarity with analytical review approaches is desirable.
