Overview
KPMG’s Tax practice is an innovative and high-performing division of our business. Our Cambridge-based Corporate Tax Advisory and Compliance (CTAC) team is part of the London Regions tax business, working closely with five additional offices in the region, including Norwich.

Our clients in Cambridge and beyond span a variety of sectors, including life sciences, technology, retail, manufacturing, and logistics, ranging from startups to household names. In the CTAC business, you’ll have the chance to build client relationships, manage tax compliance, and work on a range of advisory projects including business reorganizations, tax authority inquiries, transaction restructuring, and more.
The Role
This position is based in our Cambridge office as part of our London region CTAC team. We’re looking for someone who can build strong client relationships, mentor junior team members, deliver high-quality client service, and seize business development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients and target organizations.
- Collaborate with client service teams and other departments to deliver comprehensive services to clients.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, identifying potential new work opportunities.
- Keep clients informed of key developments in corporate tax that could impact their business.
- Respond to client needs by coordinating internal teams to deliver a complete, cross-tax service.
- Hold conversations with market stakeholders and introduce them to specialists across KPMG.
- Demonstrate exceptional quality in client relationships and service delivery.
- Promote team collaboration and increase internal referrals by building personal and team visibility within KPMG.
- Support business development efforts, proposal creation, and client presentations.
- Manage project quality, risk assessments, and financial aspects of client engagements.
- Act as a role model for KPMG’s values by leading with integrity.
- Guide, mentor, and develop junior staff within the team.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Strong academic background (2:1 or higher University degree preferred).
- Professional qualification in ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent, with expertise in corporate tax and accounting.
