The Vice President, Product is responsible for creating and executing a product strategy that aligns with both customer needs and our company’s sustainability goals. This leadership role involves managing a collaborative product team to continuously innovate and improve products across both our hosiery and innovation divisions. The VP of Product is crucial in ensuring that our product development is aligned with market trends, customer demands, and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities in Product Management

As the Vice President, Product, the individual will oversee the creation and execution of a compelling product roadmap. This includes:

  • Collaborating with the CoS to develop and implement a detailed product strategy.
  • Ensuring a strong understanding of customer needs and the competitive landscape to guide product decisions.
  • Building and maintaining a highly effective product team to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Encouraging proactive engagement with market trends and customer feedback to ensure our products resonate with our target audience.
  • Leading the development of new hero products in the hosiery collection, which will set new standards in both performance and sustainability.
  • Ensuring that each product aligns with customer expectations, meeting both market demand and evolving preferences.
  • Monitoring existing products for performance, making timely improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and market appeal.
  • Owning product sustainability initiatives, ensuring every product in our line delivers environmental, social, and economic benefits.
  • Overseeing new material sourcing to align with sustainability goals, driving innovation in eco-friendly textiles.
  • Focusing on quality and ensuring that every product meets high standards of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Managing key product metrics such as BOM (bill of materials) costs, waste reduction, revenue per SKU, and sustainability benchmarks.
  • Ensuring that every product launch meets quality standards and fulfills customer expectations.

Product Innovation and Industry Leadership

In the ever-evolving textile industry, it is vital to stay ahead of emerging technologies and market trends. As Vice President, Product, you will play a crucial role in monitoring industry trends and understanding shifts in customer preferences. Your proactive approach will ensure that we continue to develop innovative products that push the boundaries of sustainability and performance.

You will also be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive collaboration and align product goals. This involves acting as the primary stakeholder for all new product initiatives and overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization.

Qualifications: What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in product management, with 5+ years in senior leadership, ideally within the fashion, textiles, or consumer goods sectors.
  • Proven experience in building and leading high-performing product teams.
  • Strong expertise in managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, from development to launch and quality assurance.
  • Deep knowledge of market trends and the competitive landscape within fashion and textiles.
  • Expertise in sustainable product development, including sourcing materials and lifecycle assessment.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and managing key product metrics like BOM costs, waste reduction, and revenue per SKU.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to align cross-functional teams with strategic product goals.
  • Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) and experience in budgeting for product development costs.
