Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Audit Training & Development Manager to join our national ABS Training and Development team. In this role, you will play a key part in training our staff on managing regulatory and reputational risks, while also working to improve audit quality in a challenging environment.
You’ll be part of a team that works directly with audit teams, delivering ongoing, practical training. We also collaborate closely with the Assurance Technical and Training (ATAT) group and Learning and Development to provide a well-rounded training experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including the Training and Development Lead, to keep everyone updated on training initiatives and gather feedback.
- I am organising, developing, reviewing, and delivering training programs within agreed timelines.
- Preparing proposals for training development, attending internal meetings and sessions, and building a strong network of contacts.
- Managing or co-managing a small portfolio of audit clients to stay current with industry practices and issues.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA) with strong external audit experience from a professional services firm.
- Deep understanding of accounting and auditing standards and how to apply them.
- Awareness of the skill levels required at different stages to ensure appropriate task delegation.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with all stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in developing and delivering practical training.
- A passion for helping others grow and improving audit quality.
- Ability to create and present practical audit content that meets business needs.
