Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Audit Training & Development Manager to join our ABS Training and Development team. This role is crucial in training staff on how to handle the company’s regulatory and reputational risks, while also supporting audit quality improvements.
As part of a national team that includes both full-time staff and volunteers, you will work closely with audit teams to provide relevant, practical training. You’ll also collaborate with the Assurance Technical and Training (ATAT) group and Learning and Development team to ensure we deliver effective training programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with key stakeholders, including the Training and Development Lead, to keep everyone informed about training initiatives and gather feedback.
- Plan, develop, review, and deliver training within agreed timeframes.
- Prepare proposals for training development, attend internal meetings, and build a strong network of contacts.
- Manage or co-manage a small portfolio of audit clients to maintain up-to-date knowledge and experience.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA) and significant external audit experience in a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, and how to apply them in practice.
- A good understanding of the skills required at different staff levels to ensure tasks are appropriately assigned.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in developing and delivering practical training.
- A passion for helping people grow and improving audit quality.
- The ability to create and present audit content tailored to the business’s needs.
