Overview

KPMG’s Corporate Tax practice is a dynamic and ever-evolving area within our firm, offering diverse career paths in both tax compliance and advisory services. The London region Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance (CTAC) team works with a varied client base, from PE-backed and family-owned businesses to UK-listed and multinational corporations. As a Corporate Tax Manager, you’ll manage tax compliance processes and contribute to advisory projects like business reorganizations, tax authority enquiries, and transaction structuring.

The Role: Corporate Tax Manager

This role is based in our London CSQ office, part of a regional network of five offices. As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will build client relationships, manage engagements, support business development, and help drive compliance processes for a range of high-profile clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationships: Act as a market-facing manager for assigned clients, coordinating with colleagues across disciplines to deliver a comprehensive service.
  • Advisory Projects: Engage in tax advisory projects, including business reorganizations, interest deductibility, and global fiscal impacts like BEPS Pillar 2.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, participate in proposal development, and lead client meetings.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff, promote a collaborative culture, and enhance team profiles within the firm.
  • Risk and Quality Management: Oversee engagement quality, risk processes, and client financials, ensuring top-tier service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in Corporate Tax Manager Jobs in the UK, candidates should ideally possess:

  • Qualifications: ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with a solid foundation in corporate tax and accounting.
  • Education: Strong educational background, preferably with a 2:1 degree or higher.
  • Tax Expertise: Proficiency in corporate tax advisory, compliance, and an understanding of market-specific regulations.
