About the Team

Deloitte’s M&A Consulting Services team provides clients with a full spectrum of M&A support, from deal assessment to integration, separation, and post-deal optimization. We help clients extract maximum value from their transactions, assisting with pre-deal readiness, finance function transformations, and change management strategies. Our team collaborates closely with other Deloitte teams, ensuring clients benefit from a comprehensive suite of services that cover all aspects of the deal cycle.

What Will Your Typical Day Look Like?

As a Manager, you’ll work closely with the M&A Finance capability, providing strategic support to finance teams and CFOs in managing the operational impacts of transactions. This role requires a strategic viewpoint, structured problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of finance and accounting within the M&A landscape. Responsibilities include:

• Pre-deal finance function readiness assessments
• Developing finance integration and separation strategies
• Leading large-scale finance-focused M&A projects
• Hands-on support with finance deliverables, such as Day 1 balance sheets, finance TSAs, synergy capture, and more
• Post-deal optimization, including finance reporting and systems migration
• Supporting finance blueprinting and readiness planning for integration or separation

We’re looking for candidates who bring:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate qualification (CA, CFA, or MBA preferred)
• Experience: 3+ years in finance function consulting, CFO advisory, or similar roles, ideally within a Big 4, strategy firm, or large corporate finance environment
• Skills: Proficiency in general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, SAP, Oracle, or Cognos; strong commercial acumen and ability to address finance risks in an M&A context
• Consulting Skills: Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and strong communication skills with a focus on project management
