Job Description

The Floater will work across multiple areas, including operating and maintaining machinery such as Blanchers, Sorters, and Ovens, as well as supporting Quality Assurance (QA) lab operations. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Operation: Operate and maintain Blanchers, Sorters, and Ovens to ensure smooth production processes.
2. Quality Assurance: Perform hourly quality checks on products and report findings to the Shift Supervisor.
3. Lab Operations: Understand and execute tasks within the QA lab, including testing samples and maintaining accurate records.
4. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is maintained, cleaned, and functioning properly, including rotating air filters and clearing debris from machinery.
5. Inventory Management: Monitor product levels in the sorter and blancher bins, notifying supervisors of any deficiencies.
6. Documentation: Complete production paperwork accurately and consistently.
7. Safety Compliance: Follow all company, federal, and state safety regulations, including GMP rules, food safety protocols, and lockout/tagout procedures.
8. Communication: Keep the Shift Supervisor informed of any issues and propose solutions.
9. Team Collaboration: Work closely with co-workers to meet production goals and support special projects as needed.

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds routinely.
