Job Description

In the 2025 Graduate M&A Advisory UK role, you will be an integral part of the Investment Banking team, working on high-impact projects, financial modelling, research, and client presentations. You will gain exposure to M&A transactions, capital markets, and advisory mandates, contributing to end-to-end execution processes. Your role will include:

  • Corporate Finance Transactions: Assist in executing both M&A and financing transactions, ensuring seamless processes from start to finish.
  • Financial Modelling & Valuation: Develop detailed financial models to assess company valuations and forecast performance in various scenarios.
  • Client Presentations: Prepare materials for clients, covering M&A execution, capital market activities, and general corporate finance.
  • Research & Analysis: Perform in-depth research on companies, industries, and countries, contributing to transaction strategies and decision-making.
  • Due Diligence & Transaction Support: Support senior bankers during due diligence processes, preparing marketing materials and managing communications across deal teams.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and provide daily execution support for live transactions, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

1. M&A and Corporate Finance Transactions

  • Participate in the full cycle of corporate finance transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital market activities.
  • Support the execution of financial transactions, from origination to final execution, with detailed analysis and project management.

2. Financial Modelling and Valuation

  • Build and refine financial models to assess potential mergers and acquisitions, helping clients evaluate their strategic options.
  • Conduct detailed valuation analyses of companies and assets to support M&A and financing decisions.

3. Research and Industry Analysis

  • Perform industry, market, and company research to provide insights that support M&A and investment decisions.
  • Prepare benchmarking reports and data-driven presentations for senior executives and clients.

4. Client Engagement and Presentation

  • Develop compelling presentations and materials for client meetings, highlighting transaction strategies and financial performance.
  • Support senior bankers in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring they receive high-quality advisory services.
