1. Develop and Implement Safety Protocols
- Design and execute safety SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for Delivery Hero Kitchens.
- Establish monitoring systems to ensure compliance with occupational safety standards.
2. Analyze and Improve Systems
- Assess current processes and suggest enhancements to align with industry benchmarks such as NFPA-96.
- Identify gaps in safety practices and propose actionable solutions.
3. Conduct Equipment Checks and Audits
- Perform pre- and post-operative checks on kitchen equipment to ensure safety.
- Carry out regular and surprise safety audits, reporting findings for corrective action.
4. Train and Educate Staff
- Deliver ongoing training to kitchen staff on the use of safety equipment.
- Conduct safety onboarding sessions for all new team members.
Skills Required to Succeed as an HSE Officer
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
1. Experience in HSE Management
- 3 to 5 years of experience as an HSE representative or lead in a commercial environment.
- Experience managing multiple kitchens or food courts is an added advantage.
2. Relevant Certifications
- Professional HSE certifications are highly preferred.
3. Knowledge of Kitchen Safety
- Deep understanding of occupational health and safety hazards specific to kitchen environments.
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen operations from an HSE perspective.
4. Strong Analytical and Communication Skills
- Ability to analyze processes, identify risks, and communicate solutions effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to train and guide teams.
