Introduction to the Assurance & Business Services Team
The Assurance & Business Services team at Evelyn Partners provides essential reassurance to businesses and stakeholders regarding their financial performance, even when a full audit is not required. This team serves a diverse range of clients, from small businesses and family enterprises to non-profit organizations, across various industries in the UK and internationally.
What You Will Be Doing
As a member of our Assurance & Business Services team, you will work directly with client finance teams of various seniority levels, from Accounts Assistants to Financial Directors. Your working environment will vary depending on each engagement, whether at client offices or at Evelyn Partners offices. You will collaborate to deliver assurance, advice, and impactful solutions.
Our audit process consists of three main phases: Planning, Fieldwork, and Completion. Each phase may last from one week to several months, depending on the complexity of the client. You will gain valuable exposure to different businesses, helping you develop the skills and knowledge needed to be an effective auditor.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members on various audit and accountancy tasks.
- Develop an understanding of clients and their business operations.
- Keep senior stakeholders informed about project progress.
- Become familiar with our audit and accounting software.
- Resolve audit and accountancy-related queries.
- Prioritize tasks while managing time effectively against budgets.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Be available from June 30 to August 8, 2025.
- Be in your penultimate year of university.
- Be on track for at least a predicted 2:2 degree in any discipline.
- Achieve a minimum of 112 UCAS points in your top three A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies.
- Have at least a Grade 5 (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths at GCSE level.
