Key Responsibilities of an IT Executive

1. Network Management

• Handle high-severity issues on critical network devices.
• Maintain network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, and servers.
• Monitor network performance using tools that provide visual insights like graphs and logs.
• Ensure network security by managing policies, user groups, and naming conventions.

2. System Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Monitor hardware and platforms regularly to ensure maximum uptime.
• Perform disaster recovery operations and system backups.
• Troubleshoot network problems and outages to maintain optimal performance.
• Keep network equipment updated with the latest firmware and patches.

3. Security and Compliance

• Implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Control spamming and manage centralized antivirus servers.
• Monitor firewall logs and enforce firewall policies for enhanced security.
• Identify and address system vulnerabilities as per recommendations.

4. Hardware and Software Expertise

• Hands-on experience with MIKROTIK Router Board, Synology, and FreeNAS/TrueNAS.
• Proficiency in VMware Workstation, VSPHERE, and ESXI Server.
• Expertise in Microsoft products (Workstations, Servers, Domain Controller) and Linux.
• Experience with NAS storage servers, RAID controllers, and hardware setups.

5. Structured Cabling and Connectivity

• Manage structured cabling systems to ensure efficient connectivity.
• Work on network designing, including routing, VPNs, and switching.
• Administer LAN, WAN, MAN, and Wireless (Unifi) networks.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: BS/BE/MCS/MS in Computer Science from a recognized university.
• Certifications: CCNA certification is a must. CCNP and MCSE certifications are preferred.
• Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in IT and network management.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Mac operating systems.
  • Ability to design accurate network diagrams and plan network communication systems.
