Job Description

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Support hands-on activities to meet team goals, focusing on automation and security enhancements.
  • Perform technical updates to reduce vulnerabilities in the HSBC environment.
  • Conduct resilience tests and implement automated deployments.
  • Collaborate on Core Banking changes and manage production implementations following HSBC IT standards.
  • Proactively identify risks and report technical issues to management.
  • Automate IT and operational processes to improve capacity and performance.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely project delivery and maintain quality standards.
  • Build effective relationships with business and tech teams for streamlined deployment and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement technical changes in production in line with core team goals.
  • Manage expectations and track results to address potential issues in advance.
  • Support and automate processes, enhancing performance across IT services.
  • Work closely with vendors to maintain governance and ensure service reliability.
  • Collaborate with senior IT managers to meet stakeholder and customer requirements.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize IT services and align them with business operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Technical graduate with at least 3 years of IT experience.
  • Familiarity with IT governance, control tools, and applications (Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, G3, Nexus, GIT).
  • Proficient in both Windows and Unix environments, including experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Control-M, and MQ.
  • Knowledge of SAFe agile framework and GCP environments (preferred).
  • Strong command of English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Skills: Automation, vulnerability management, project coordination, IT governance, vendor management, technical troubleshooting.
  • Education: Technical degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in IT operations with hands-on experience in systems engineering and digital solutions.
  • Languages: English (required), Spanish (preferred).
