The Officer, Regulatory Reporting position offers an exciting opportunity to join IQ-EQ, a leading Investor Services group in Jersey. As an Officer in Regulatory Reporting, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, including FATCA and CRS submissions, Jersey Tax Returns, and Economic Substance reports. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality administrative support while collaborating with teams across various jurisdictions.

Job Description

As an Officer, Regulatory Reporting at IQ-EQ, you will:

  • Perform a variety of regulatory reporting tasks to support compliance for managed entities within Private Wealth and Funds & Institutional business units.
  • Provide quality administration to internal client teams, ensuring timely and accurate task completion.
  • Assist senior management in day-to-day operations within the regulatory reporting function.
  • Champion IQ-EQ’s values and maintain a proactive, collaborative approach across teams.
  • Support the preparation and submission of FATCA and CRS reports and assist with reviews for Economic Substance activity.
  • Complete workflows on relevant data systems, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reporting information.
  • Respond to compliance queries and address risk issues, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support annual FATCA and CRS submissions and related Economic Substance reviews.
  • Maintain data quality for regulatory reports and Jersey Tax Returns, assisting in the completion of Foreign Economic Substance submissions.
  • Respond to queries via the RRT mailbox related to FATCA/CRS, Economic Substance, and Jersey Tax Returns.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies, reporting non-compliance as necessary.
  • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • You have a strong understanding of Jersey’s finance industry and regulatory landscape.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in regulatory reporting, preferably with knowledge of FATCA, CRS, and Economic Substance regulations.
  • You are working towards professional qualifications such as the ICSA Certificate in Offshore Finance and Administration or the STEP Foundation Certificate in Offshore Trust.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and familiar with regulatory reporting systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of FATCA/CRS, Economic Substance, and Jersey Tax Returns; proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in regulatory reporting or related roles, ideally in offshore finance or trust and corporate services.
  • Certifications: Working towards or holding ICSA Certificate or STEP Foundation Certificate.
  • Soft Skills: Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and strong organizational skills.

Education and Experience

  • Required: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar regulatory reporting role, preferably in Jersey.
  • Desired: Knowledge of FATCA/CRS reporting and Economic Substance requirements.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ICSA Certificate in Offshore Finance and Administration or STEP Foundation Certificate in Offshore Trust.
