Reporting to the Payroll Senior Manager, the Payroll Administrator is responsible for preparing and processing weekly and bi-weekly payrolls in a multi-state environment using ADP Vantage payroll systems. This role demands attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee data.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Payroll Processing: Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple locations using ADP Vantage.
  2. Data Accuracy: Verify and correct computed wages, ensuring the accuracy of hours, earnings, and deductions.
  3. Employee Records: Maintain up-to-date and accurate payroll records and employee files.
  4. Collaboration: Coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless data flow and employee record updates.
  5. Compliance: Apply knowledge of federal, state, and employment regulations in payroll processing.
  6. Problem-Solving: Address payroll discrepancies, resolve errors, and suggest improvements to processes.
  7. Confidentiality: Handle sensitive employee data with the utmost discretion and integrity.
  8. Reporting: Generate payroll-related reports and provide necessary documentation for audits.
  9. Cross-Team Support: Collaborate with team members to meet department goals and deadlines.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in multi-state payroll processing and ADP Vantage systems.

Education and Experience

  • Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of payroll processing experience.
    • Experience with seasonal or multi-state payroll is a plus.
