Job Description
The Project Leader for The Americas at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing complex projects in a multifunctional team environment. Based in Atlanta, the Project Leader will be responsible for ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects in alignment with the company’s regional objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in hospitality project management and have the ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve their goals with efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects in a multifunctional structure to meet the objectives of the Regional Executive Team.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the collaborative achievement of project goals.
- Collaborate across departmental and ownership boundaries to streamline project development processes.
- Conceptualize and deliver exceptional new hotels and resorts, ensuring adherence to Mandarin Oriental’s Product Standards & Guidelines (PSG).
- Design and renovate hotels with a balance of Tradition, Quality, and Innovation.
- Continuously improve and update Product Standards & Guidelines to maintain excellence.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring effective risk management and timely delivery.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Align project plans with organizational objectives, ensuring a smooth execution process.
- Provide necessary management tools to foster a motivated and productive team environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Skills
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead large, multifunctional teams and inspire collaboration.
- Project Management Expertise: Expertise in managing large-scale hospitality projects from inception to completion.
- Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and implement project plans aligned with company objectives.
- Risk Management: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address challenges effectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (engineering, construction management, architecture, or related discipline).
- Professional Qualifications such as P.E., MCIBSE, AIA, RIBA, or RICS.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Project Management, or related fields (preferred).
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project management, ideally in the hospitality sector.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and managing large teams of project managers and professionals.
- Strong background in managing strategic project plans and understanding the full project lifecycle.
