Position Overview
We seek a skilled Senior Manager to join our fast-growing Accounting Advisory team in London. This team provides expert accounting advice across various areas, often working closely with teams from Transaction Services, Tax, and Valuations. This role offers a great chance to deepen and broaden our accounting services and contribute to the team’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, efficient services to clients and ensure their expectations are exceeded.
- Support technical projects, leading smaller ones, particularly in technical accounting.
- Assist transaction teams with GAAP conversions and M&A activities, such as IFRS 3 analysis, group reorganizations, and private equity transactions.
- Assess the impact of new and existing accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 9, 15, 16, 17) and prepare complex consolidation cashflow models (multi-entity, multi-currency).
- Helped identify new business opportunities, contributed to proposals, and supported internal brand development.
- Provide constructive feedback through regular communication and appraisals while guiding and mentoring junior staff.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A recognized accounting qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting experience in IFRS, UK GAAP, and the UK Companies Act, preferably with an audit background.
- Up-to-date knowledge of accounting developments, particularly IFRS 9, 15, and 16.
- Proven ability to build and nurture client relationships.
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to apply accounting principles to unique scenarios.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting technical accounting papers.
- Experience in mentoring junior team members.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with publicly listed companies or large corporations.
- Knowledge of US GAAP or a specialized sector.
