Our Family Office & Private Client (FO&PC) team is a dynamic national practice, with 162 team members across the UK led by 5 Partners, 3 Associate Partners, and 12 Directors. Operating as a unified business, we specialize in five core service areas:

We work with a broad client base, from high-net-worth individuals and private business stakeholders to executives, landed estates, and private equity professionals. Our expertise also includes advising on Trusts, Estates, and Partnerships. The Role

As part of our KPMG Private Client tax team, a rapidly growing division within KPMG’s tax practice, we’re looking to add a Senior Tax Manager. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in personal tax who thrive in a supportive, fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include leading quality client engagements, nurturing relationships, and driving growth in high-net-worth and entrepreneurial markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust client relationships, identifying new opportunities within your portfolio.
• Grow your internal and external networks to attract new business by focusing on selected clients and targets.
• Oversee and support the local team’s growth, guiding and mentoring team members.
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance teams to deliver seamless tax advice to shareholders involved in transactions.
• Analyze clients’ personal tax situations to design and research tailored tax solutions.
• Project manage the delivery and implementation of complex tax advice.
• Ensure strong financial control on assignments, demonstrating effective WIP management and billing.

Your Profile

Qualifications and Skills

• University degree
• ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with a deep understanding of personal tax

Experience and Background

• Extensive technical knowledge of private client advisory, including shareholder tax planning, transactions, key tax reliefs (BADR, BPR), and international tax strategy.
• A proven ability to engage business owners with both technical expertise and commercial insight.
• Strong experience building trusted relationships with high-level executives and shareholders, generating advisory opportunities.
• A commitment to exceptional client service built on strong, long-term client relationships.
• Enthusiasm, motivation, and a collaborative approach that inspires team performance.
• A proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities in the market.
