Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Person-in-Charge or delegate tasks in line with HIQA and legislative standards.
- Manage risk within the assigned location, ensuring a safe environment for all.
- Support individuals to build natural relationships and community networks.
- Implement person-centered plans tailored to individual needs, wishes, and preferences.
- Maintain professional relationships with individuals, families, staff, and visitors.
- Assist in the recruitment, induction, and annual reviews of team members.
- Keep accurate records in compliance with file management policies.
- Celebrate social events to enhance individual experiences.
- Ensure the home/workplace is well-maintained and meets health and safety requirements.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of HIQA standards and intellectual disability care.
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or Social Care Practice.
- Desirable: Postgraduate qualification in an intellectual disability-related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a social care role with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Full driving license required.
